Resourcing California's Climate Economy
S2J2 Regional Investment Plan Draft
Grounded in the expertise and insights of over 300 cross-sector partners and more than 4,300 community voices, the S2J2 Regional Investment Plan Draft creates a blueprint for a thriving Sierra San Joaquin region. We sought to answer, “What will it take to fundamentally transform our region and foster an inclusive, resilient, and sustainable economy?” In response, we crafted a dynamic roadmap that outlines our vision, investment areas, and key strategies for success.

We're just getting started!
What will it take to fundamentally transform our region and foster an inclusive, resilient, and sustainable economy?
Our four-county initiative is committed to creating quality jobs and equitable economic access for all residents in the Sierra San Joaquin region. Funded by California Jobs First, we are seizing the opportunity to collectively craft a dynamic regional investment plan to empower our entire region!
Ensuring an inclusive process that centers disinvested community and nontraditional voices is key to the Sierra San Joaquin Jobs process.
S2J2 is supported by more than 100 partners representing civic business and economic development; education and workforce development; labor and worker-centered organizations; local governments; environment and environmental justice; tribal communities; and community-based organizations.
Recognizing the geographic size, diversity, and complexity of the region and the need to balance power among stakeholders and across multiple jurisdictions, Sierra San Joaquin Jobs utilizes a collaborative governance structure and decision-making process that allows for maximum input and inclusion at the local level.
